Based out of New York, New York, Camy Calve Events—founded and run by Camy Calve more than 30 years ago–is a premier non-profit event and donor cultivation consultancy that helps nonprofit organizations reach the next level of growth. Drawing on our particular expertise in corporate fundraising and forward-looking organizational development, we provide expert, hands-on support to help clients increase their fundraising potential, build their donor base, and increase their industry stature.
Camy Calve Events uses Gala fundraising as a catalyst for building robust organizational structures. In addition to providing a full range of services needed to produce an exciting, well-run event—including venue and vendor selection and management, donation tracking, seating, talent and auction management—we collaborate with our clients to put a strategic approach to donor outreach in place that they can build on in years to come.
We utilize our extensive knowledge of corporate philanthropy and management to help clients choose effective honorees and co-chairs who are leaders in their fields that will attract extensive donor support for the event itself—and even more important, can be cultivated to provide long-term organizational engagement, including board involvement and high-level donor outreach.
Camy Calve Events works tirelessly and continually to increase fundraising potential and organizational visibility and stature for all of the organizations with whom we work. Past and current clients include Northside Center for Child Development (for whom we have significantly increased fundraising and enlisted new board members), Big Brothers Big Sisters (for whom we doubled event fundraising within five years), and Project Lyme (for whom we raised $1.5M for their inaugural Gala).
Camy Calve began working with nonprofit organizations when she joined the staff of New York’s Governors Committee on Scholastic Achievement (GCSA) with a mandate to increase the organization’s level of fundraising. Through extensive research and outreach, Camy enlisted multiple new funders and exceeded fundraising expectations; the experience sparked her passion for strategic fundraising. She launched her consultancy a few years later, and continues her association with the GCSA as its president and most passionate advocate. Over the course of her involvement she has grown the organization’s endowment to more than $5 million.
